What to Expect at Redoubt Bay Lodge
Stunning Views
Redoubt Bay Lodge is the perfect place to get away with your loved ones. The only one of its kind, our remote wilderness lodge is tucked away on a secluded lake at the forefront of adventure. Located at the entrance of Lake Clark National Park, Redoubt Bay Lodge is perched on the banks overlooking the famous Otter Lake where bears gather to feed at the mouth of Wolverine Creek bringing their cubs to teach them the ways of trapping and eating salmon in the glacially fed turquoise waters.
Wilderness Adventures
And those delicious salmon are just as coveted by our guests. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to fish for abundant levels of sockeye (June 1 – Aug 15) or coho salmon (July 20- Aug 31). Kayak around Otter Lake, plus Weasel and Martin—the lakes surrounding the lodge in the Redoubt Bay Critical Habitat area. You’ll see close up views of waterfalls, stunning mountain scenery, swans, eagles, beavers, red headed mergansers, river otters plus Tule white front geese that the critical habitat area is known for and more. Check out the natural beauty of Alaska. There is plenty to do and see right here at our Alaska lodge, plus we can arrange for some add on excursions for those who want to maximize their experience.
Flightseeing
The adventure to Redoubt Bay Lodge starts with a scenic float plane flight from Anchorage or north Kenai with our sister company Alaska West Air. Getting here is a major highlight to the trip, but it doesn’t stop there. There’s nothing quite like our slice of heaven tucked in the pass. If you are flying in and out of North Kenai with Alaska West Air, you’ll also enjoy a spectacular glacier view on your way back to the Kenai Peninsula.
