Most of our trips originate and end in Anchorage, Redoubt Bay Lodge’s gateway city. Most guests overnight in Anchorage the day prior to their trip departure but this is not necessary. As long as you arrive into the city prior to 4:00 p.m. we can typically transport you to the lodge that day.
- Upon Arrival
Upon arrival into Anchorage, please feel free to call our office (907-776-7516) to confirm your travel plans. We have several departures to Redoubt Bay Lodge each day: 8:00 in the morning, 12:30 in the afternoon, or 5:00 p.m. - On Return
Guests arrive back in town at approximately 9:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m or 6:00 p.m. If you need to catch flights that day, be sure to check with our office to make sure that you have plenty of time to make your connection.
Notes:
Our air taxi partner can pick you up at the airport or most local hotels. If you are driving a rental car, you are welcome to park it in the Rust’s Flying Service parking lot. The air taxi is located at Lake Hood, near the Ted Stevens International Airport. It is advisable to arrive at the air taxi at least 30 minutes prior to your flight departure. When you make a reservation with our office or through your travel advisor, you are issued travel documents upon your final payment for your trip. These documents contain vouchers for your roundtrip flights and for your lodging. Provide a copy of the flight voucher to the air taxi agent. If you have been traveling with excessive luggage, it is possible to store luggage at the air taxi during the time you are staying with us.
